Coating won't soak up oil and turn into a wick.

The wrap is okay for a race car but it will destroy your headers in short order when running it on the street. The heat retention just eats the metal up and the headers will be junk in a couple of years.
Ceramic coating seems expensive up front but I had the headers on my truck JetHot coated in 2001 and they are still looking great! That's 15 years for one set of headers. Not to shabby on the return there...

Understood, yes it is spendy, especially overseas, but look at it like an investment. Over the long run it will save you a bunch of coin.

Test fit them on the car before you send them out for coating.
It would suck having to modify a set of freshly coated headers.

If ceramic coating costs as much as headers why not just run these headers until they die then replace them. You might not even own the car long enough to see the first set give up.
