      Cooling Help

I have a 1985 Monte Carlo as with a 5.3/4l60 swap. It has factory accessories except an ls3 Camaro5 water pump. I'm letting the car run to get the car up to temp to make sure the fans come on. As I go to check under my hood I notice that my radiator is extremely hot and my upper radiator hose looks like it's about to burst and it's also extremely hot as well. While my lower radiator hose is cool. WHAT AM I MISSING? PLEAS HELP!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭

Thermostat stuck closed or in backwards. Though I'm not sure if it is possible to put one in backwards.

Are you sure the water pump is not a reverse flow when you need a normal, or is it a normal and you need a reverse flow?

Thanks for responding. I wouldn't know what to look for to tell if it was reverse flow or not. I figured it out. It was a small kink or bend in my upper radiator hose, so I straightened that out. Also I bled the cooling system more.
