This is by far my favorite build on this site. Also the first build I've seen with CA Chassisworks GStreet equiptment on it. Thank you for keeping us updated.
Want to convert my 68 to a 69 Firebird custom. Won't spend a dime on pro touring mods until I am confident in the parts I will want so I'm making myself a build guide and timeline. Until then I'm going to make it more driveable. Power steering, disc brakes, lower, LED lights, fix interior lights.

Looks like you switched the valve covers between when the engine was in the car and not that it is on the stand. What valve covers did you switch to, as they look like they will hide the coil packs vs. the ones from SCA that wouldn't. If you are going back to the valve covers from SCA, where are you going to place the coil packs? Thanks!

Scotts Hotrods makes the valve covers. We are trying to go with the hidden coil vc because it makes the package cleaner. A couple issues with using them is that it takes a certain coil and it is not a high performance coil. We had a clearance problem with the rockers which we have solved. (Not wanting to machine the cover), and not sure if the temp will affect then even though they are vented. Didn't like our options on mounting coils but if the hidden ones don't work we will probably make a bracket an mount them to the front chassis support bars

Thank you! I am running the same valve covers that you had and was looking for a cleaner option as well. We have opted to go behind the engine, but it still looks a little funky with the coil wire and the way that it is routed.

Anvil offers a few titanium fasteners.
