As much as you want a bolt in affair for the mid section I have yet to have seen one so either you're on your own ( which if you can make your own you should be able to weld in someone else's) or you will be stuck with hpi, speedtech or hellwig's kits . My two cents opinion is there's a reason why there isn't a bolt on option
      A. There's no point in bolting to something that may not be a solid enough to begin with

B the torque, twist, defection however you refer to it. That these a bodies have would more then likely end up putting too much street on the bolts ...the frame rails NEED to be boxed before we cross the bridge of crossmembers being welded or bolted in

Second that -- I was looking at the ridetech frame brace kit and just seems like too much work to pull the body off. Thanks for sharing the pics, I've been considering the SC&C one too but concerned about ground clearance.

OP, would love to get a sense of ground clearance.

Also, does you bar come painted, primed, or bare?
My bar mounts just like marks, bottom at crossmember is drilled and tapped.
The bolts holes up top closest to bumper are drilled and fasten with nuts.
What transition plate are you talking about?

Heres some picture of how the brace hangs.
It hugs the frame more than sc&c brace.
Not sure if it will clear a muscle bar....but if you buy it and it wont clear send it back any your money will be returned.

Mounts in same holes as SCC? Or I need to drill new holes?

I designed and fabbed this on my own,and didnt use marks as a templete,so im pretty sure you would have to redrill and tap the crossmember and redrill the upper holes.
My top tabs mount higher too.

Clearance from the ground is about 4 inches at the tubes closest to frame crossmember.
I know my brace tucks up alot more then the competitors.

Dig that brace! Whats the chance you make one for a 73-77 A body? I'd be interested if you do.

Brace is well-built and fits well, easily clears a factory-style swaybar. Can't seem to upload photos. My ground clearance is about 5" at the crossmember and the bottom tips of the tubes reduce it by about a 1/2". Goes back to 5" by about 2" behind the swaybar. In some of the other pics in this post, it appears as if the bar bends DOWN from the crossmember -- it doesn't, slopes upwards all the way. The photo of the red Chevelle looks like the bottom sections of the bar are parallel to the ground, this one is better. I can't get any good side or front shots in the garage but will take some later, PM me if anyone needs to see them.

I would imagine that if it was that important to you, one could flatten the tubes gradually at the bottom tips with a press before installing. Might look a little better, too. Maybe Chevelletiger could try this? And incorporate on future designs?

Got mine back from powder coating and just finished putting the front on. Looks cool and wasn't too difficult to install.

I installed mine yesterday. The first test drive was amazing - far less squeaks and rattles over bumps. The suspension is finally able to do its thing without the frame flexing.
