I might be able to add the extra bars to my brace and andd that little mounting tab.
I would have to raise the price on it thou.
      Whole other design.

Let me look at my car and see if theres room there for that.
The only problem i see would be interference with the uca's and the top of the diff on a really lowered car.
      Let me check.

That is a brilliant way to reinforce the stock crossmember as well at the shock mounts...

I dont think putting those braces will be possible as a bolt in part, without raising the body.

Its not something i want to redesign into my jig.
I could send you extra tubes and a tab to mount it but you would need to notch the tube and weld it up.
      Sorry.
Let me know if you still need the braces.

Those bars and tabs won't flex and eventually snap at the welds?

A properly welded bar will not snap ....and you will have much larger problems if you manage to flex either the front or the rear braces ....

      As ryan stated.
You would be having bigger problems if the bars flexed and the tabs snapped off at the welds.
Just look at the factory welds on the frames of any vintage gm.
The welds looked like the guy on the factory line had a good time at the bar at lunch time ; )

True, I would like to stiffen up my frame a bit. These work with boxed frames/ convertibles?

The frames are the same in the areas these mount. If it were a trans crossmember that would be a different story.

Do these mount in th same location as a SCC one? Same hardware sizes? Interested in switching so long as the ground clearance has been vastly improved. I bottom out on everything

Shiner - any pics of the SC&C bar on your car? Possibly from the side down low, showing how low it hangs?

I've got the front end apart, and want to install a chassis brace at this time. I'm deciding between the OP's brace, SC&C, and UMI. The UMI is the most compact, but doesn't triangulate to the engine crossmember.

      My bar uses 1/2 bolts.
Sc&c uses 3/8 from what one member told me.
My brace starts higher up towards the bumper.
But im not sure if it has better groung clearance.i'll take some measurment abd let you guts know.
I agree on what your say about the umi brace.
I still beat these guys on price.

Does your bar mount to the crossmember with 2 bolts, or 4? It looks like Mark's bar bolts the 2 lower tabs directly to the crossmember, while your uses a transition plate. Is there a reason for this?

Also, does you bar come painted, primed, or bare?

I would like to know if there is a difference in ground clearance. I typically clinch my ass cheeks when going over dips or potholes because it hurts...plus sparks fly out scaring the crap outta everyone around me.

I would also like to see some sort of brace system for the mid section. Not everyone wants to box or weld on their frames. I simply don't have the skills, I don't want to pay someone, and I don't have the time. A bolt in system would be excellent and believe would sell very very well.
