      Exhaust port/header fitment question

I bought a set of headers to go on my 400/Vortec head combo. They are coated tri-ys from Stan's headers. I am thinking of changing the heads to Vortec Bowties, but I've been told that the bolt pattern or the ports have changed on the Vortec Bowties to the same style used on the Fast Burn heads and that my headers may not match up. I don't know if Stan know of the difference, he recommended making a set of header gaskets match up and then comparing their fit to the headers. The olny problem I have with that is that I don't want to buy the heads until I know my headers will match up.

So, anybody here know how much of a difference I am looking at? Should I be worried?

      TIA

At worst, you will need to slot the flange holes a bit so that the ports line up. That's all I had to do to make them work.
