Well we got the engine done quite a while ago. I think it looks great! We had trouble running the air filters so we had to run them using intercooler piping under the front air damn. That was pretty cool.
However upon driving it we found that it had bad axel hop so we had to stick some caltrac tractions bars on there....

Big Mistake. I guess the axel hope was keeping the tranny alive... I hit it one time under 5 lbs of boost and messed the poor 700r4 tranny. SO it sat awhile in my garage like this

Until a few days ago, because I found a good priced 4l80 tranny! Hooray!

Now back to getting all the issues fixed

Putting a catch can on it
Fixing the oil leak under the car
Putting an independent transmission cooler on it
Putting the Manual boost controller on it WE Are going to double the boost plus 2 lbs! (14 lbs or so)
Getting the new crossmember . and stuff installed and finally getting it tuned to make some big power.... we hope

The plate on the supra made me chuckle. Is there a build thread for it anywhere on the net?

This looks like it's going to HAUL when its finished! You did a great job of fitting everything in with such limited space.

Man, I'd hate to work on it if something happened down the road. I'm betting that would involve some serious knuckle bustin'.

I Surely hope so! We hopping around 700 to 750 to the wheel on about 12 lbs ! And me and my mechanic had to sit a just stare at it for an hour trying to figure out the solution for the air filters... my side eventually won... behind the front air damn

I'm thinking about a twin turbo conversion too on a 72 camaro, 383 gm ZZ4 hypereutic piston too but forged internal, with the same kit but not the same headers ( don't think they don't touch G-braces ) , can't wait your review !! really nice built !

Nothing looks better than turbo plumbing. I'm curious, what kind of intake air temps do you run without a intercooler on your setup? Is that a gm blue? Really looks great on your car.

Yea the headers was a nightmare! Definitely try something different! And it should be fun, especially with the two step program that we decided to go with last minute ;)

You know I think the same thing... its nothing like seeing turbos when a hood is opened... Its like not the average thing, kind of a shock to the system.

You know I wish I could tell you how hot they are, I pretty sure they are not as cool as they should be, but we was talking running a meth kit to cool the air, but they said it was not needed for my power goals, which is on the low end of the stick for my setup (700 to 800 whp) The air flows from under the car... so its there at is at its cool point... so till its tuned your guess is good as mine. And i think leman blue

except cast headers that are not built anymore, I don't find SS headers that can fit without touching g-braces, I will be compelled to built custom headers...

Did you take Cxracing turbos or an other brand ?

They are cxracing... would not go that route again lol! Custom will get you perfect fitment but a lot of work! One of the big issues i have had is just the fact that absolutely nothing cut or notched and the turbos are 70mm.
But you live and learn when you want a custom install. But you have more space in your engine bay than mine I think! (being a 73)

Yes a bit more. 70 mm is huge but beautiful in your car ! I'm looking at the kit with the GT35

so except the headers, are wastegates, turbos and other stuff good quality ?

Well let me be exact.. the cxracing stuff is not what I have... i just got the piping and headers from them so i can some piping to start with to make the system work. As for as the turbo's they came with a kit I bought from C&S Specialties. The have a big machine shop in saint louis where they put there own twist to the stuff you buy that makes it their own.
The Carb is probably the smoothest carb I have ever owned. And the turbos... I am not so sure because the tranny was not running right, and we could have been leaking boost. But we expect them to be top notch. Waste Gates all work well and everything else is in great condition and there service is top quality. I have spent billions of hours on the phone with them after paying for everything, just getting things right.

So i might have confused when i said the kit was from cxracing... i was talking about just piping and headers, nothing more
