All but the front of the chassis is boxed and welded now. I just need to dress the welds a little more before paint but I need to hold off until I take the chassis back to be inspected by the engineer on the 22nd of this month. He wants to see everything before paint. This has been very time consuming but it is so much more solid.

Today I've added this inside upright of these braces I guess you might call them, and then boxed the back sides of them. I can't fully box the top as I need access to one of the strut bolts. All that is left now is the front of the rails around the intercoolers and the re moveable front cross member. I need to take the chassis off the jig now and remount the engine to work all that out.

All done. Ready to mock up assembly to trailer it down to the engineer for inspection this Thursday.

Will this get past the Australian engineering process?

Yes, this is my third and final inspection before paint.

Obviously there are still some things to do like the rear exhaust mounts and little bolt on stuff but this is the point he wanted to see it at.

Yes, a lot. But I have a lot more freedom with this as the Bronco chassis is classed as a commercial vehicle, not a passenger vehicle. This means I'm not restricted to engine or power increase over stock options. Along with many other aspects as well.
The fact that I am using all the original brakes, exhaust, ECU, intake, everything off the RS6 plus using OEM air suspension and height leveling, has kept the engineer very happy.

Made the trip down today to see my engineer and I got the big thumbs up to carry on. This means the hard work is now done. Next step is to get the cab back on the chassis and sort out all of its details. Then back to the engineer once I have seat belts, door locks and seat sorted. I already have the steering column and pedal box done plus the RHD wipers changed over. He wants to inspect all that next.

I love the first pic, my twin turbo V10 towing my twin turbo V8. Hell yeah!

Thanks! I'm feeling pretty good about it, that was a big step indeed and the light at the end of the tunnel just became a lot brighter.

I'm sure that's a big relief. I know I'd be dreading that step, no matter how sure I was it would pass!

Got a few jobs ticked off the list. I've been scratching my head for ages trying to think how to mount this odd shaped fan assembly. Finally work out a solution by ditching the OEM blend door section.

That'll do for now until more of the dash components are in place and I can make any further mounts to suit more things than just one at a time.

I got the wiper motor mounted as well. Another long term head scratcher. It needs to go somewhere here.

Cut down the bar, made sound new tabs fro the rubber mounts and tacked it all into place. And test fitted the motor.

Welded it up, ground it down and gave it a coat of primer.

Done. Now just to wait for some new wiper arms to arrive and I can then calculate and build the actuator arms.

Fantastic! I know first hand about engineer's reports and modified vehicle rego in Australia.
