Crap, well there's another 6 months that have gone. I have absolutely zero to report unfortunately. The last 6 months has seen me work most days including weekends. On the odd day I have had off, I've gone dirtbike riding. A few of those jobs have now been finalised so I have been working on other things around the place that have not been completed. Hopefully back to it again soon, it's been a far to long.

I feel your frustration with lack of time for progress, but can't work every minute you're not on the day job. Since you got to go dirt bike riding , you're a step ahead of me. Stopped progress on my chopper drift bike project I started on last year, can ride it if it ain't built.

I trust you'll get back to the truck when you can.

Dirtbike racing has delayed my project by at least 9 years.

Before I got back into bikes about 18 months ago, I hadn't had a dirtbike in over a decade. Giving up drinking and riding bikes again has probably been one of the best decisions I've ever made health wise. I feel fantastic, probably the best I ever have. So while it has taken time away from all the cars, I know the car stuff is still there when I get back to it. Might even happen today?

I have done a little. But nothing worth mentioning really. I've been tearing down the other donor car for the air bag system. I managed to get about 80% of the wiring out in one piece, the rest that remains is to the control switches in the dash which will need to be dissected from the dash harness. So far it looks to be a complete independent system which is easy.

Lol, I thought you guys had enough monsters down there trying to kill you--now your going to build one?! I somehow just found this thread and plan to spend the rest of work day going through all 14 pages.

You've got a killer vision-I can't wait for the videos of this tearing down some lonely Aussie roads(or raceTrack!). Keep chipping away at it when life gives you a little room.

      Ha, thanks jetmech442!

Here's a sample of the tedious, uninteresting, things that I have been doing. Picking apart wiring looms from one of the donor cars.

I now have all of the wiring I need for the air suspension. Chasing each wire and labeling each one took a fair amount of time.

      Thanks guys!

I made this video a couple of weeks ago. I was testing out the air suspension with just a shrader valve and all four corners plumbed together. Because the back has no weight over it compared to the front, it's slow to deflate. Sorry for the slow video, but it gives a bit of an idea to the height range of the OEM Allroad air bags.

I have the chassis back on the jig now. I had to roughly cut out clearance for the intercooler piping and intake manifold and check by fitting the engine back in place, Now I know where the piping needs to pass the chassis rail so I can notch it properly now and mount the intercoolers.

      Cheers guys!

Damn straight, Dan. It's hard to knock back the chance to go for a bike ride. Especially when I live so close to some amazing tracks.

I've been chipping away at boxing the chassis. As well as filling all the unnecessary bolt holes as I go. This side is mostly done. I need to get it up on the hoist and tidy up the under side.

Most of the chassis boxing done now. Next is to get it back off the jig, get the engine and cradle etc back in to fab the front cross member and intercooler mounts.
