      Dexron

I have a GM 4L65E automatic transmission and I need to replace the pan gasket. I am not sure what fluid is in the transmission now and not planning on draining or flushing the torque converter. I would be filling the pan only.

Which Dexron should I use (III or VI)?

If you do not know... then use Dex VI. Write it on the pan so you know next time it’s serviced
