New Guy, New Project. 1968 Camaro

Hello, my name is Scott and my first car was a 68 Camaro. I loved that car, I Autox it, Hill Climbed it, Street Raced it and basically abused it every chance I got. When I got Married and had Kids I sold it and regretted it every day. Time passed and now that I’m older I decided to purchase another 68 Camaro as a Project. I have had the current car for about 3 years now and have been making some modifications as of recently. The car was fairly beat when I got and needed to do some basic repairs just to get it so I could drive it safely. Once I did the basic repairs it got me wanting more. I went ahead and spend a few bucks on this years Black Friday Sales. My vision for the Car is to use the stock Sub Frame and leaf spring setup and make it better. I purchased Speedtech upper and lower control arms, their Chicane shock mounts and Viking shocks, ridetech Tru Turn Spindles and the rest of the system. The car already had a 1.25” front sway bar installed. The rear parts I purchased are Speedway Motors are their 9” rear housing and 3rd member with 3.89 gears, ridetech Composite rear leaf springs 175 lbs, and Fays2 Watts link with Bilstein shocks. The front and rear Brakes I purchased from a member on this Forum, 13” Wilwood fronts with 6 piston Calipers and 12” rears with 4 piston Calipers. I ordered the Wilwood master cylinder with brake bias and 8” brake booster from Speedway Motors. The car will also have solid body mounts and subframe connectors. The Camaro currently has an old school 350 4 bolt main engine .30 over engine with 64cc camel hump heads crane cam and headers with Fitech fuel injection, backed by a T5 tranny for now. I’m hoping all this makes for a good combination for the occasional Autox and basic cruising around, any input on the parts I ordered or setups that work for you are very welcome as I embark on this journey.
      Thanks, Scott

The Camaros tend to need larger splitters and spoilers when you run them upside down. Not sure about spring rates when ran that way either. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
