Is it the distributor, the box, or the EFI unit that can control timing?? I have an old, but still never in the box Mallory Comp 9000 Unilite vacuum advance and a Mallory 685 control box. I'm looking to install an EFITech system and want to take full advantage of it's capabilities. What are the recommended items to use with this system for a street/strip application ?

Send Fitech a e-mail with your questions. They are good at getting back with answers. Usually in a day. I've been e-mailing with them the last couple weeks about their system and they've been very helpful. Also go the their website and take some time to read the FAQ. A lot of good information in there.

Looking at your cam specs on your motor I see they're very close to what my Crower cam is. I'm running a chev 406 sb with 6sp and 4:10 gear. My motor doesn't seem to have much power below 2000rpm. In fact it will buck like a race car when I'm in 2nd gear. I'm not liking this cam much. How does yours work at low rpm ? Of course the auto trans would cushion some this in your case.

      Thanks, Mike
