Removed stock fuel system. Dropping the engine in to check my clearances soon. Driver side header will most likely need the collector moved outward as it is pointing toward the transmission. Fuel rail fittings ordered. Also swapping front wheel centers in order that I do not have to use wheel spacers.

Remote master cylinder reservoir might be an issue. Still need to purchase MMR head coolant mod as well as front MMR crossover and serpentine belt. Blower bracket needs clearance for Thumprrr tensioner as well as clearance for tensioner tool. Convertible to trim and weatherstripping, headliner need installed, rear wheel flares too.

Cobra R fuel cell is at fuel safe getting a new bladder and fuel pumps installed. Headers went back to RCI headers for a little modification. I'll post some pics later today.

Decided instead of a coolant crossover I would make a 4 line y manifold from the rear and top rear of both heads to take all the rear coolant and then splice into the y block just before the inline thermostat.

Rearranged the pullies to get the belt to wrap.

Once the fuel cell shows up I can run the fuel lines and y block.

The headers will have to be coated before the motor goes in.

American Autowire makes a rewire kit. Going to have to rewire the car forcstabdalobg to de-cludder the engine bay.

Body man and painter just stopped by the check out the engine compartment.

Got a few things done last month. Finished installing the 1993 top frame and top. Rebuilt quarter window tracks and installed new motors. Replaced most of the weather striping. Still have to finish the side view mirrors.

Also managed to get the saleen tonneau cover and wind screen bracket mocked up. Still have to drill holes for the light bar and install windscreen.

      Dye seats black.

I did however decide to go a different route with the coolant crossover mod. Typically the early modular motors have cooling and overheating issues in the rear cylinders. Usually #8. A popular solution is to run a crossover from the rear of each head to move the coolant around. Since I had to delete the front crossover, I had to run AN lines to a Y block to an inline thermostat. I figured then, that it would be better to run the coolant from the rear top and rear of both heads, into a Peterson Y manifold. Then into the Y block. Thus pulling out all the coolant from the block and into a series of manifolds before going into the thermostat. I'll post pics one I get it all together. Also, I am having to run two oil pressure sensors as well as two coolant sensors. One for the factory dash and one for the Holley ECU.

I did however manage to pick up a set of 2000 Cobra R rims that I plan to use with Nitto NT05 and NT05R rubber for the street. The R888's are not DOT approved.

So now begins the fun part. Headers showed up last night with the 00R flanges and modified collector. Test fitted them today and I can now get the T56 magnum onto the SFI bellhousing. As soon as I get the headers cleaned up on the flange side, then coated, the motor is going in the car. American Autowire makes a rewire kit with factory connectors and enough extra circuits to run all the other things. Going to do a couple trick things to make it all fit up front. Hoping to have the motor ready to fire soon. Fuel Cell should be mailed out next week. Once that shows up I can run stainless hard lines from the rear to the front of the car.

I'll post more pics up when I get it together.

Having problems posting pics. Not sure if it is my cpu or the site.

Quick update, 95R fuel cell is back after 4 month rebladder and dual stealth pump build. Still needs correction on supply and return fittings. Headers were ceramic coated and installed finally. Rear wheel flares are clecod on. Fuel system parts and all ordered and en route. Engine compartment stripped and ready for paint. JBA catback arrived. Hope to get the drivetrain and fuel system in the car this year and the car driving. Going to have to rewire the car as well. Have pics to post but cannot get the site to work right.

Most likely will do a slight wheel and front suspension revision for more tire and rim.

For some reason I cannot get on the site to upload pictures from most computers.

I got pics to upload. Pretty much the only things I need to finish the car is a chassis harness, Holley Dominator ECU and Holley Harness’s.

Hoping to make the NJ optima Ultimate Street Car Event next year to see how it does.

Found a CPU that will upload pics. A little update on things. Saleen light, wind screen and tonneau cover are in the car. Rear flares are mocked up. Fuel cell is in the car. Headers were ported to gaskets and installed. Coolant mod is almost complete. Waiting on parts to finish coolant mod then motor and transmission will finally be bolted together.

Supercharger discharge tube is also getting an update for less silicone tubing. Hoping to finish up the car by spring summer. Holley Dominator, and chassis rewire is all that is left.

My coolant mod design. More pics to come when the rest of the fittings show up.

Update: Installed MMR rear support, had rear wheels widened to 12.5" with R888R 335 series tires. Got the motor and trans under the car but need to bolt the k member in. Still waiting on 00R manifold, air/ oil separator and power steering fittings to be machined. Then some of the things are off to the welder. Tight fit, had to hammer on the headers to clear the frame rails. Most likely going to take the car to a fab shop to have the headers reworked with new tubing. Don't like hammered header tubes even if they flow the same amount.

Scored an American autowire chassis kit at a good price. After the k member and transmission are bolted in rewiring of chassis and dominator ECU. Fuel system will be finalized too. Hoping to get the car fired up in the next couple months.

Interesting fact. A Ford 2000 Cobra R throttle body opening, when converted to round tubing, is 4.5” OD or a 114.3mm Throttle Body. This explains the mantra that modular motors like a lot of air.

Another interesting observation is a 2005/06 GT Supercar throttle body, when round tubing, appears to be 5.25” round.

It has been a while since I made an update on this build thread. I have been designing an air to water cooling system and custom radiator. I have purchased a GT Supercar intercooler pump, IPSCO rear mechanical parking brake and have completed the hydroboost system officially. The oil, power steering cooler will have to be redone. In the next month I plan to install the new billet rear IRS spindles, DSS Axles and Griggs front adjustable sway bar. The sway bar will dictate my clearances for the cooling systems. I have also aquired 90% of the Holley EFI parts. Here are a few pics of what things are looking like. It doesn's seem to be much different, but small jobs have been completed. Fitting all the cooling systems and oil lines will take careful planning. The plan to to buy foam insulation and make dummy coolers inside the car before I have them all made. It should all fit, might have to move around the core support. I also have my drag car build going at the same time so progress on the car might slow down. I hope to have both completed this year and running.
