Well, rolling along, at a much slower pace than I expected…

Heads are done, exhaust port studs CNC relocated, valve job and new springs installed. Got to pick them up the next couple weeks. Engine build will happen in September.

Fingers crossed, I might get it all together by the end of the year.

Picked up heads and had them dropped off yesterday to the machine shop. Looking like end of September before he can get me in.

Getting closer to matching the Fox Lake CNC heads. This is the last piece of the puzzle to the 397” all aluminum blower motor that will replace the 2000 Cobra R motor. I will be selling the 237 mile 2000 Cobra R motor once this motor is finished.

This is going to be one incredible Fox body. A full cage makes a lot of sense. You're going to have enough power to find every weakness in Ford's work.

Matt got through the first half of the runners. The photo is shavings from one half of one port. He will now get into the second half of the runners as they taper into the cylinder heads.

He has already removed the o ring gasket sea areas and welded them in. He then port matched them to the CNC heads via a GT500 gasket. Next he will continue hog porting the intake then have it machined level.

With 397” of custom billet stroker crank, custom rods and pistons. 13:1 compression and an intake manifold that flows way more than 330cfm. Factory GT Supercar followers and lifters. 510/500 lift cams 260* at .050. Taking a poll:

What RPM will the engine spin until?

      6500
      7000
      7500
      8000
      8500
      9000

Lol. Yes. Having the Griggs SLA front end will need a lot of reinforcement so it doesn’t twist the frame rails. Might have the inner fender removed completely to put more bars in there.

Going to be a trellis style rear frame that goes under the tonneau cover. Ladder style. Probably going to replace wheel tubs too. Move around coil over shock locations and try to get it to 3”-4” ground height.

Shortblock is at the machine shop. Matt is working through all the pinholes on the intake manifold. Hoping to have it together soon. See what happens.

Intake is done and on its way.

Machine shop called today and is starting assembling the top end. Still need GT500 timing chains and tensioner guides, both are on the way.

Hoping to get the motor together soon. Still waiting on the cage to be built.

Car made it to the cage side of Autofab today. Have to meet the cage builder Monday to plan the build.

Wheel centers were shipped to VRWheels to have the 12.5” rear wheels pushed out slightly to clear the IRS slightly more.

      Slowly coming together.

397” shortblock is complete. Waiting on MMR primary chain guides and hardware to finish assemble the motor.

If all goes well we might get something done this year!!
