I too have an IRS swapped coupe, and not ashamed to say I'll be stealing some of your ideas for my build. Excellent work my man! For my inexperienced self could you give me some info on how you mounted the flares? Those are on my list for the winter as well.

How many Holley EFI boxes does it take to wire a modular motor?

Just had the radiator reworked. Still waiting on machine work for small parts. Hoping to have the car on the road this summer. Working on the cooling systems currently. Getting close, more pictures coming.

To take things to the next level a couple of purchases were made. First was a 397” all aluminum CNC GT Supercar Headed Motor. As well as Griggs GR40 front suspension.

The motor is here and still am gathering pieces to assemble and swap motors.

Griggs parts will be here is the next few weeks.

Autofab is slowly finishing off the engine compartment and cooling systems. I am still hoping to be able to drive the car this summer. Having a second set of hands and eyes on the car is helping streamline things to another level.

Griggs Racing SLA control arms and sway bar mocked up. Not liking the single shear upper shock bolt. Will revert to previous Griggs design of double shear bracket. Still waiting on coil over shocks, billet aluminum spindles, Wilwood Aero6 14” brake kit, brake caliper mounting brackets and 3” cooling ducts brackets.

Should have it all together with larger front wheels in the next couple weeks.

Waiting on Griggs spindles, shocks. Once they are here, 14” Aero6 brakes are going on.

Slowly coming along. John at Autofab is finishing up the cooling systems. Head gaskets for 397” all aluminum GT Supercar headed motor are on the way. Making slow but steady progress. Waiting on parts is the biggest delay. That and me not having time and out sourcing the final fab work.

After a short hiatus. Roughly 1 year. I have decided to go full steam ahead.

May 13th the car will transition to the chassis side of the shop for a full cage.

I have also purchased all the remaining parts needed to complete the 397” blower motor.

8 weeks for camshafts. So hoping to get this show on the road this summer.

Yeah me too. Should have all the parts to the machine shop in the next week.

Going to have to get the cylinder exhaust stud locations changed to the 96-04 DOHC pattern first. So I can use my headers still. Camshafts and springs showed up already which is really good and quick. Bullet camshafts, they moved quickly.

Hoping to get the car in the road this year. Still got a ways to go but the future is looking bright. Will post pictures when I can.

      Pro-Touring 1989 Mustang Convertible

Dropped the heads off to Slawko Racing Heads to have them skimmed, exhaust studs relocated and new springs installed. Also to see if they can get anymore out of the Fox Lake CNC port. Last item to get done will be my other 00Rr intake full port, shortening and o ring gasket removal. Hoping to have the cage done and 397” motor in the car by June 1st.

Very nice project, this will be a beast. Of late I am seriously wanting a New Edge, so a very similar chassis underneath. Only thing is, it's a challenge to get much power out of a 2V engine.
Cars are meant to be driven.
