thanks, I need to paint the roof (PO was going to run a vinyl top, cheap SOB didn’t paint the roof) and paint the tail panel, a little trim after the windshield and rear window is put in and ready for the road.

I know the feeling of life in the way. Bought my 69 Camaro in 2012, and didn't really get after it till this last November. Looks awesome and clean!

Came over to check out your build. Showing some ingenuity there and I love that as well as getting your son involved. Looking great!

Well. Finally got this POS on the road. I've put about 400 miles on it and have found some issues. That "rebuilt" 10 bolt apparently was not set up correctly. Howls slightly on deceleration. I think the axles are slightly tweaked. Rotors have a slight wobble thus the pads click up and down. Pisses me off to no end.

Another bigger issue is the car is lowered thus the driveshaft runs uphill to the pinion. This compounds the u joint angles. Not good.

I've ordered a 9" from quick performance but its taking forever. 24 days on a 10-12 day build. Then I need to order a CV driveshaft.

Frustrating, but it's a good looking car that's going to be a blast when you get the bugs worked out.

I was hoping to get the 9" a few days before I left on a 10 day vacation so I could get it mocked up and measure for the CV driveshaft. The rear arrived 6 hours before we left. 😕 it's like a 6 week wait for the driveshaft. The rear was to be 10-12 business days and it took 24. Put me way behind now.

Thanks. I finally got a quote from the Driveshaft Shop and got the CV driveshaft ordered. Get this, he told me 8 weeks. WTF? Hire some people or something. 8 weeks is just not acceptable but I have no other options. I asked if I could just buy the peices to build it myself. Of course I could not. I'm hoping its quicker as its getting cold here in Michigan. I'll post when I receive it.

Ok. Been a while again. I received the CV driveshaft and it works great. I managed to put on 4,800 miles this summer. Took it on a 500 mile trip and averaged 22.8 mpg. Zero issues but have a few upgrades I'm doing this winter. I'm adding cruise control and I ordered Classic Auto Air A/C. Adding dash speaker. I put ridetech adjustable shocks on the front. My "rebuilt" steering box was leaking so I replaced it with a OEM grand Cherokee box.

Sorry for the rambling, I just wanted to get the thread up to speed.Name: 20201103_191014.jpg

Wow, that looks great! Nice work on the 9" rear swap. I bought my rear gear parts from Quick Performance as well. Best prices around.
