1969 Chevrolet Camaro Build - From Street/Strip to Pro Touring

Hello. I'm a new member and wanted to share my 69 Camaro build, LT4Camaro. I'm looking forward to your comments and suggestions.

I have owned the car almost 20 years of which it was used for street/strip purposes. Here are some pictures before the build:

Wow....what a project. It's going to look awesome. I have a 68 SS that I've always wanted to do that to. When do they estimate the completion date? I was noting the dates you posted. Do they typically take that long? What motor are you going to put in it? I'll keep watching to see the progress. Good luck.

Paint is starting to go on the car. The color is Porsche Racing Yellow.

Color looks great. Looking forward to seeing more progress. I always enjoy seeing someone make this transition with their car. I think you're definitely making the right decision. Good luck with the build.

Here is a front shot of the smoothed firewall and powder coated front end.




The wheel wells and under side of car were sealed and sprayed.

Looks great! What coating do you have on the pans top/bottom?

HandOverFist, the product in the cabin, trunk, and under side of the car is Wurth SKS Stoneguard Black. Here is a picture of it and the sprayer.

ridetech Level 2 CoilOver Suspension Package with Tru Turn upgrade and front and rear MuscleBar sway bars being installed with Wilwood front and rear disc brakes.








The wheels are Boze Alloys Lateral-G 18"x9" front and 18"x12" rear, satin with polished lip. Tires will be the BFG G-Force Rival 275/35R18 front and 335/30R18 rear.

What backspace did you use on your front wheels?

Thanks Steve. I'm not sure what the backspacing is. I told Zak at Boze Forged Wheels that it was for a 69 Camaro with ridetech suspension with tru-turn and that I wanted 275 front tires and he had them made.

Just finished installing a JL Audio HD900/5 amplifier and 10W6v3 10" subwoofer into an enclosure from The Shop LLC.

Just a mention...I've been told vibration is sure death for an amplifier.
