Negative, it's hard to remember back to when I bought it but I believe it's Tamraz or OER, or one of those restampers.

James, did you use the Killmat then put something over that? If so, That's what I did! The Killmat was really a lot cheaper than some of the other products, but to go on top of that I used a product made in Arizona and sold at HD. it was a 1/2" material made out of shredded blue jeans. Fire retardant and mildew resistant.

I'm not familiar with that product, but I used thermozite. I put it on the forward half of the floor for some added heat and noise protection. If I'm still not satisfied when all is said and done it won't be too hard to add it to the back half.

That seems MUCH more reasonable than what I've been looking at.
It still comes in a 4' roll, and the thicknesses vary greatly, but.... it's pricey.
I'd love to know how yours turns out.

I really liked working with it. it's a product Don Hutton has used on previous builds and that's all the convincing I need on a product like this.
Some good upholstery scissors and aluminum tape can allow it to be conformed any way you'd like, here's a pic early on after making it fit over the tunnel, it now covers everything, and acts as a carpet pad.

Hi Jim. I don’t think that link is Thermozite. It is some kind of lightweight foam while Thermozite is a felt product.

      Here is Thermozite:

Don, thanks for correcting the link, that's definitely the product I purchased.

Oh man... so many good product ideas. And they're all cheaper than mine. The only drawback is the lack of convenience of it being self adhesive.
Regardless, great information folks, thank you very much for the info!

      'Streamline' 1968 camaro project

Small updates but I’m still staying at it when I can.
I’ve been hand-making some running light housings to fit the 4.5” lights I wish to use. It’s a little time consuming making the aluminum tube “eye-shaped” to fit the natural shape of the valance, and then there’s the slow process of sanding from 60-2000grit to get it looking pretty again. But after a few hours…I’ve almost got one side half way done…

I also picked up a ricks tank, 5th gen fuel pump and the vaporworx conversion for it so after a few coats of epoxy it is under the car.

The housing looks great. May take some time but it's the results that matter. Way better than buying something that half way fits. Nice job

Thanks, yeah the aftermarket is lacking in this area and it is more important the me that I match the correct running lights to the headlights. so going custom was ultimately the only option.

fixed the pictures, I tried to post from my phone but wasn't so successful.

Finished these light pods for the running lights. I'll decide in the final stages whether or not to paint or powdercoat them black but I love how they fit.

They're still somewhat concealed but the raised bumper does the best it can to expose them.

Ha! You’re the designer, I’m just the fool who spent over ten hours to recreate them.. I hope I don’t have to do it again

      Still alive!
Still progressing, just slower than desired. I feel like I'm in a Paint jail alternate-universe, I find myself awaiting a painted car but I at least have the car until it can get in the booth, so not the biggest problem.

I've been busy getting the bumpers perfect, which has been a bumper-on, bumper-off process several times. for pieces I thought we almost perfect they sure have taken up a lot of my time.

And since I have the car, I've started on the interior upholstery thanks to Josh @ Relicate. I made a rear speaker panel I'm quite happy with, re-trimmed the center console, rear panels, and now getting started on the dash which will be quite the challenge. I've also been messing around with some 3M matrix vinyl for some of the smaller pieces.

After the dash is complete, I'll get started on some custom door panels.version 3....
