OUSCI at Charlotte - Roll Call!!

Its getting close to OUSCI at Charlotte....

      Who's going?

I registered last Thursday and it looked like 15 or so in the GTV Class.

Also, do they do any sort of thing at these events on Friday? Like registration or tech or dinner??

You can usually get onsite, and get your decal package on Fridays... Registration and tech starts early Saturday morning.

We are arriving on Friday with the Wrangler Monte Carlo. I've been invited to a cruise on Friday night that is the biggest in NC but cannot tell you where it is.

I'm registered but, I doubt that I will have my car back in time for the event.

Penske (in Mooresville) has a really cool "Fan Walk".
It is a really long corridor at second floor level looking down on the final assembly area.

DSE is right near them too.

I'll be there, and I'm guessing DSE will be the Road Rally Cruise Location Saturday night...

I'll be there one way or another, as a participant or a volunteer. If I can work thru some pesky brake issues then I'll be there with the Roadrunner. If not I plan on volunteering. Either way I'll be there on Friday. Looking forward to meeting and hopefully participating with you all.

For any of the first timers, Do you get the $25 Membership discount along with the First Timers discount if you are a USCA member? Trying to figure if the USCA membership would be worth it for just a single event this year.

I thought someone mentioned it somewhere but now I can't find it.

Friday, is there going to be tech? I thought someone mentioned it being from 2:30 to 5:30.

One more question for the powers that are OUSCA. Intermediate vs. expert. I run 14-18 events between SCCA and NASA but......my car is down roughly 250 hp from the top guys in expert. For that reason, (staying out of there way) I'm running intermediate. Do you think that is appropriate? In my eyes it is almost like running a sports car in a Trans Am event considering the HP difference and closing speeds.

At NCM there was no tech on Friday, opened early Saturday morning. Look for a big white tent.

I think you'll be fine in Intermediate but after a session or two if you find you are waiting to pass to much, they will probably let you move up. Lot of big open long straights on that course, the experts will be FLYING!!
