1970 Z28....What would you pay for this?

What would you pay for this 1970 Z28, It's best sitting in the Arizona sun for the last 30 years, just moved to different locations on the property. Two owner car, motor was destroyed in the early 70's. Still has the matching number 4 speed and 12 bolt rear end. Mulsanne blue with original blue interior, owner said it's never been wrecked. Rust is very very minimal.
    What's the right price!

Looks like a great project. Without the original LT1, being a Z28 doesn't mean as much. I'd think it would be worth slightly more than a base Camaro project, having the 4 speed and 12 bolt is a plus. Maybe around $5-8k I imagine? That's what I would pay.

I offered him 5,000 but he didn't bite. I didn't know if I was too cheap, but I felt the same way with the LT1 missing.

    Thank you!

Same here..id max out at 8 what it was and is are totally different. That engine is what makes it the Z/28. Regardless it looks like a solid foundation

I would think where i live it would be pushing 10 grand all day long. Ontario Canada has a lot of rust so we don't see cars that solid.

Down here in the Southwest, we're tripping over cars like these. A rust bucket typically needs the lower section of the fenders patched, haha.

Ya that would be good, start lining them up let's see them. The guy from Arizona said 5-8 that would be about 8000 x 1.3 for exchange = $10,000 ish.

What place is this, if you don't mind sharing? Not that I need to know since I'm completely bound up for space, but I'm just curious.

You don’t get z28 price without the parts and solid documentation/proof it’s an actual Z. Remember the Z was an option so the sheet metal doesn’t have Z28 value.

I'd offer the $7K you mentioned, but I would go as high as $8.5K personally. Just depends if it's the car you want, right place right time, and will save you trouble looking for another.

The Z is in the same spot hasn't moved.
Looks like a build sheet under the seat, but it's not my car.

One of these days it will be worth money, if correct. But $8-9k in the condition this car is in is going to cost you six figures to restore it.
