      Some updates on my 84

Finally got my 84 back home and got some time to start tearing it apart. I have been ordering parts for the engine to beef it up some. I got the bed off the frame, drive shaft out, and gas tank off. This weekend I cut the frame down to a short bed. Next on the list is to start installing all of these parts I have and to box the frame and pretty sure Im going to fabricate a tubular X brace under the truck. Then its on to the suspension and getting it low and handling right. On to some pics.

When I got it back home.

Welded back together and cleaning it for paint

Some goodies Ive got from the mail man!

More goodies are on the way and more changes will be made on my weekends and hopefully have some real track time late this year or next summer for sure.

Are you going to sell the bed or step bumper?

It looks like you're starting with a pretty clean truck, that makes things a lot easier. I have an '83 K30 and '84 C10, yours is nearly a twin to my C10.

Id sell the bumper for sure. Bed is undecided. I'm looking for a good short bed to use. If I can't find one I'm going to cut it down just like I did the frame. I'd prefer to find one complete.

      They do look like twins
