      Project 1968 Roush-Fenway Cyclone

      Hello all,

Just joined the forum, figured I'd post some pictures from my current project.

Chassis: Roush Fenway RK200 Road Course Chassis

      Body: 1968 Mercury Cyclone

I work overseas so this will be a long drawn out build, but decent progress so far. Body will be hung by Metal Master, Inc. - Charlotte, North Carolina.

Hello shortrack!! I thought I might find you here.....been following the Chevelle build for a while, I have always wanted to do this, and seeing your build convinced me I wasn't totally crazy. This is going to be all racecar, as close as I can get to Gen 6 chassis technology, under the cyclone skin. Will see local track days in Phoenix, and some open road racing/hill climbs. Keeping the door seams, but they won't open.

Something like this, but lower ride height with some trick aero touches.

      Ready for a Road Trip!

Still learning the picture posting process, seems I either double post or none at all......anyway, trying to fit both cars in a 24' trailer, this should make it a little easier!

      Talk about a long Drive

It took us 4 days to get over there, taking our time with 24' v-nose trailer. We stopped in Midland, Shreveport, and Birmingham. It was well worth it though. Oh and I found out the truck runs out of diesel when the tank reads "50 miles to E."

      MetalMaster Inc

Here's where the magic happens, Jim has been hand fabricating body panels since before I was born, so I am confident the car is in good hands.

      Sourcing some Horsepower

Back home, and time to source an engine. For this project I stole the Yates engine out of the stock car, I don't really have an plans for that car right now, so I figured I'd pull the motor and freshen it for the Mercury. Dry sump set-ups sure are messy....
