      TKO-600 clutch adjustment

Finally got all the pieces to put together my TKO-600 and attach to the engine. I had never built a manual trans car before, so took me some time to figure out I was missing some parts (clutch fork, pivot ball stud, brackets, etc).

Anyway, I have a full Lakewood bellhousing that covers the entire thing. Now that I have the transmission on and see that it covers the adjustment for the pivot ball, how are you supposed to measure and adjust the distance between the clutch plate and flywheel when the clutch pedal is fully depressed?

      Thanks,

I asked Jeff at Classic Chevy 5 speeds, and he said he would just adjust it by feel (with his foot, not with a feeler gauge). Maybe just the linkage adjustment is enough. I am still hooking up my linkage, as you can see from my other post, so I'm not sure if I will have to pull the tranny out to adjust the pivot ball stud or not. I really hope not...
