      8 into 1 header

What do you guys think about the 8 into 1 header they use on the new LS engined Tanner Faust drift car? Makes the engine sound very different. Almost exotic.

      Sounds pretty awesome!!!!

Strange choice of car?!?!?! VW Passat drift car. Definately out of the box.

I love to watch in-car vids of Faust, I learned a lot from watching his videos......

It sounds exactly like 180deg headers.

makes me wonder what an older big block might sound like with a header like that.

Years ago Hot rod or Car Craft had a Chevy II project called Triple Threat. The idea was to run
the car in three different drag classes. One thing they tried was an eight into one header. I can't
      remember much more than that.
Of course, that was before a lot of you youngsters were born.LOL

Still trying to find out more info on 8 into 1 exhaust collector setups . Wanting to do one for unique sound reasons on an ls engine and can't find much actual info on.

I have a few basic possible plans on how I can make room for this . Also pretty sure you run each header pipe into collector in sequence of engine's firing order & that close to equal length as possible also contributes to sound.

Also considering 180 degree header type setup using tri-y 2 into 1 merge collectors making a 8 into 4 into 2 into 1 setup.

Part of the problem is they take up a lot of space. Not a problem on a round track car that doesn't need a passenger seat.

Here is a decent article by hot rod: https://www.hotrod.com/articles/180-...drange-torque/

Just noticed the JCG vette in the u-tube video doesn't look to be 180 degree headers. Just a big bore short stroke engine, and a completely hand made muffler. Inside of twin inlet/outlet muffler had 4 small perforated tubes per side inside of a larger round sound absorbing layer of some sort. Was on their facebook page in 2016, but couldn't get a clear view since i'm not a facebook member.

Maybe I just need a used Mercedes v-12 engine & some custom equal length headers to sound like this.

No clue why this is titled original exhaust.

Here's one. This thing sounds insane, but I'm not sure if it's the headers, the compression, or the revs.

Dude are you made of leprechauns? Cause that was awesome!
