      1967 - 1969 1st gen Fbody speaker kickpanels FS

Made of fiberglass in gelcoat and primer

Comes with kick panels, pinch weld and mdf grill blanks, you finish with your own vinyl, paint, and grill cloth.

Keep speakers out of your doors and have a nice low-key place to install them instead. When you use the supplied grill blanks and wrap in grill cloth speakers will disappear into the interior.

Pinch weld replaces the trim that runs along the jamb and panel sits against that.

Fits up to a 6.5" speaker and tweeter

Speaker resides in the area where the factory kick panel vents were, you will lose the pull cables in the factory kicks.

You can use use a Metra 81-6900 Baffle behind the speaker to protect it from the elements. These can be purchased on ebay for around $10 shipped.

$165 shipped to lower 48 states

I do not finish these out, it will be up to the buyer to cover them or find someone to do it

Do you include a block off plate for the fresh air vent when installing these?

Do you mean the area in the body the vents reside in the kickpanels? You don't want to block that off as the speaker magnet needs that area to sit in.

To protect the speaker I suggest using a metra 81-6900 speaker baffle. It fits in that area perfectly protects the speaker from the weather. You can get these off eBay for around $10 shipped.

Here's one in a 2nd gen, 1st gen would be similar.

Yes, that is the opening I was referring to. Do those speaker baffles seal the kick panel area from air and water from leaking into the interior?

Putting a 6x9 into that tiny little compartment will make them sound like doody.

Yep, just screw them in place, and smear the opening around it with seam sealer to seal it up. Again this is my 2nd gen...1st gen will be similar

If the 6.5" speakers in your application need more airspace to play in than the 6 x 9 baffle offers you can trim an opening on the bottom of the baffle. This will give the speaker a free air configuration like being mounted in a door and still keep water off of it.

For my car, I'm putting some fiber-fil in there to help dampen the sound

I want to clarify, these kicks are NOT for 6 x 9 speakers. I only suggest using the baffle because it fits that area. I would never encourage anyone to try and use 6 x 9's in any application - front or rear.

So I don't want anyone to get confused, these kicks are for a 6.5" speaker and a tweeter.

I put the 6.5" Digital Design in my kick panels. These panels weren't meant for 6x9's Mine have the 1" cone tweeter built into them. Haven't finished them yet so don't know how they're going to sound but the DD's have a very good rating at 200 watts.

I used the Metra ABS baffles. They were the 6x9 baffles and I'm using the 6.5" speakers. I'm really lovin' my kick panels. Thanks again Dennis. I've got the rear package tray pieces cut out where the speaker goes, but I haven't covered it yet. Hope to get that done next week. I'll post pics of that when I'm done as well. There, I'm going with the Digital Design 6x9's. Looking good so far...

Can't believe these haven't taken off more than they have. What's not grabbing anyone about them? The price is fair and def less than what others are charging for something similar.

I'm going to finish one set out and wrapped in vinyl so I can take pics and stuff. Grills will be covered in grill cloth and have removable snaps. Vinyl is black sierra grain vinyl similar to whats on the factory seats. It will have a abs plastic textured face on the inside

Once I get the pics and stuff I need this set will be $215 shipped. It's the only one I will have like this completely done. I'm not wanting to do that as a full time gig. This is solely for picture taking purposes only
