I think it fit well. I didn't install it myself but I do like it.

I wish I knew where I can get it. The passenger window was some how scratched pretty bad years ago and I would love to replace it.

how are you attaching that heat shield under the car?

I was working on my buddies new camaro and while the material looks just like what you have this was a lot harder/ metal like and held on by studs underneath the car. I would like to put something underneath the floor to protect the headers from burning the paint off of the floor

Since I don't have an interior in the car at the moment I plan to use stainless 8-32 screws, 3/4" dia fender washers and nylon insert locking nuts. I will just drill a hole through the floor pan where I can and seal it. Where I can't get to the far side I will use stainless self drilling screws with the fender washer.

Those things are great! I purchase all my rivet nuts, rivet studs and installation tools from McMaster-Carr. They make for very clean finished looking installs.

Great idea. Those work well. I have those and the nut versions but with the engine, trans and exhaust installed I don't have room for the install tool. I will use those other places though.

It's a pretty low jack in the front. Even when I had shockwaves and they were totally aired out it would still fit under the frame.

I have never seen a jack with this much lift that is this low since I bought this one maybe 15-17 years ago. It's starting to leak and I will rebuild it. I suspect I will keep this jack forever.

      FEAD (Front Accessory Drive System)?

      Hi Larry,

I love your build. I’m doing a build very close to yours. I have a 1969 Camaro with Art Morrison front and 4 link rear, LSA motor with 6L90E with Speartech controller. My engine should be here in early Feb. with the Trans.

My question is, did you have to modify the front sub frame for the FEAD (Front Accessory Drive System)? Do you have any pictures up close of the engine setting in the sub frame that you can post?

I’m going to start a Project Update as we get more things done to help other people doing a similar build.

      Thanks
      Dewboy

I've been reading through this thread but I can't view any of the pictures Larry has posted. Do you guys have any ideas as to why not? I checked my settings and everything is set correctly there.

They are showing for me. Mind if I ask what software/browser you are using? I will try to duplicate it.

I'm using Explorer/Windows 7. They used to work for me.
