Factory Emergency Brake setup to Wilwood brake

Hey guys, I know guys have used the Lokar setup to hook to the Wilwood emergency brake on a 1st gen. Camaro.

But I was wondering if anyone has used a factory setup to hook the emergency brakes up using Wilwoods. I would like to have a factory look if possible. I was thinking I could have someone like Control Cable make up the two cables that come off the rear brakes installed with the Lokar Explorer style clevis.(see below).

I used the Lokar cables hooked to the Wilwood internal drum and stock Camaro Pedal. I was never happy with it until I fabbed up some brackets that allow more leverage at the internal drum. Pretty easy to do, I made mine out of 3/16" plate. I realize that this does not answer your question, just wanted to give you a heads up in case you ran into the same issue

Have you asked Wilwood? I'm curious about this as well.

Parking brake assembly is installed. I wanted to use the most factory parts that i could so i bought a stock parking brake cable kit to use with my c6 brakes. The two rear cables would have been a pain to attach plus they were little long. I managed to open up the hole on the rear brake cable mount to 9/16 and i ordered 1988-1996 corvette rear ebrake cables from oriellys for $20 each using ac delco part number 19143753. These cables are much shorter and fit perfect with my brake kit and quadra link. I will attach pictures but they are not of my car since the car isn't high enough to get pictures. I then used the front cable of my kit and hooked it up to the brake and ran the line thru the subframe. Now here is where i had another problem. The intermediate cable was too short. The correct non big block cable that comes with my car from the factory is 79" long. i need about 3 more inches. Luckily firewheel classics also makes another cable part number pbk-11r for the big block camaro that is 82" long. This will work perfect.. Long store short you want the following :

1988-1995 corvette rear ebrake cables ac delco part number 19143763
67 camaro big block intermediate cable pbk-11r
      front cable pbk-10a
Drill out the kore 3 bracket to 9/16"

I have Wilwoods which are set up for a Ford Explorer clevis. I ordered the 95 corvette e-brake cables hoping that these would work but it looks like you will need to remove too much metal from the clevis to make it work. I think once you remove the material from the clevis it will be to weak. Maybe someone else could chime in that has gotten something to work.

I wish these would work since what Icemanrd19 has done looks killer.

Thanks for the great write up on this. As the post was back in 2011 I was wondering if anything had changed? I also see you ran the front cable through the subframe. Can I assume you do not have subframe connectors? Thanks, Will
