Need help on putting clip pins in..

I am trying to put new windshield clip pins in front windshield and rear glass on my '68 Camaro. Does anyone know the placement measurements of the pins for the clips? I have some of them one the windshield channels, (the three on each side are still there, and can get dimensions from them, but I replaced the entire top panel which has none of the pins. This trough where the glue goes is actually deeper than the one on the pillar. Do I measure from the top of the pillar or bottom to get my pin depth? Also, how many pins across the top on the windshield and back glass?
