Glad you are ok. Dont cut the insurance company any slack. They are responsible for undoing the damage regardless of thier opinion of the car.

As far as the fix, the patina may allow for an easier fix If you can find a good quarter panel.

Whatever happens keep it driveable, dont let this event make your cougar a garage queen like my car.

      Cheers.

The one thing that scares me from driving any of my nice cars is other people. Doesnt matter where you live, you will always be surrounded by people who should not have a license. It's only an amount of time before you become the victim of one of them, no matter how careful you are.

Sorry to see this happen. Your car was very unique and one of a kind, to the point of where it cant be replaced. I'm sorry to say but it will never be the same again. However, depending on how insurance treats you, it may go back together and be better then ever. That's what I'm hoping at least. Most importantly, glad you are ok! Looking forward to updates of the car going through it's new stage in life.

Everyone's worst nightmare, keep your head up though.
I always try to look on the bright side of bad situations, at least we can fix bent sheet metal and you did not get that guardrail through your door!

Man Andrew, Sorry about your car, glad your ok. You know that's the biggest reason I quit riding motorcycles. I can't watch and predict everyone. That's also why I don't drive my Camaro as much as I want to. It sucks, but like everyone said, Glad your ok!

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am not discouraged, just a little bummed, because this car was pretty damn straight!

I took it to a local body shop and for a minimal fee they pulled the fender off the tire and I replaced the tire valve stem that was cut during the crash. She is not pretty, but she is back on the road!

I got to thinking.... paint the whole think flat black, leave the body damage, and give it a Mad Max theme.
      Thoughts? No?

The adjuster from the insurance company has been less than responsive and the last two weeks have been very busy for me as well, so I've sort of ignored it. Tomorrow I am going to get back to it. This needs to get wrapped up.

But I have been driving it regularly.
