Before I book, I just want to confirm that the hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the track? And a bit further from downtown Nashville?

Is the autocross held in the parking lot just outside the tunnel? And, is it a relatively smooth/flat lot? No dips or rough patches?

Yes it is Mark, The lot is in decent shape with a couple areas we move the course around. There are some small elevation changes as well. Fun course but the real excitment is our high speed verion of the auto-x on the big track. we use the 1/4 mile flat oval and the 5/8 high banked oval for both our high speed course and speed stop. The speed stop is like no other as you take a lap around the large oval coming onto the front straight where you must come to a complete stop followed by another wide open lap through the timers.

Hey guys I must say I am new to all this and I ask lots of stupid questions well maybe not stupid just uneducated.
First the fact that there is no cage in the truck yet, will this be a problem with tech? I know its not at goodguys but the courses there are rather slow speed.
Second If I was to get signed up would some of the people there be willing to give my newb self a few pointers so I keep out of trouble and maybe keep our truck in one piece.!!!!

I'd be glad to help out. Come find me when you get there, I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one there with a light blue 68 Mustang.

One thing you'll learn quickly at the ASCS events is everyone is willing to help you. Help you get the vehicle through tech. Help you with pointers on driving lines. Help you with extra hands and tools if something breaks. All you have to do is ask. You'll be amazed at the amount of help you'll get offered.

Make sure you bring a Helmet. Ensure your truck has seat belts, battery is secured, and brakes work.

Is there a full list of rules and regulations somewhere? I have looked on the official web page but did not see any. For example, I thought there was a minimum tread wear rating.

      Thanks,
      Troy

They're posted somewhere. PM Finch or Bill Howell to get the official version from them.

Short version is nothing loose that can move around. No floor mats or loose items inside the car or in the trunk. battery must be secure. No drips or leaks. Properly torqued lugnuts and no wobble in the wheel bearings. No AC while on course. Minimum treadwear is 200 if you want to be listed in the results. Fire extinguisher in reach of the driver. At least 3 pt belts. 5 or 6 pt preferred. Not sure about neck restraints but a HANS or at least a neck roll is a good idea while on the oval. Recommended helmet is SA rated not DOT M.
