Tmcp Eric Tingwall Car And Driver Magazine: Down And Dirty With The 2014 Camaro Z/28!

This weeks interview is with Eric Tingwall, Technical editor of Car and Driver magazine. Eric knew what he wanted to do from a young age and and made a plan to capture his dream.
I asked Eric on the show specifically to discuss his fantastic review of the new Z/28 in the May 2014 edition of Car and Driver. He personally had the chance to flog the car in depth, and his article really showcased the value of it all, despite the fact that it’s the highest priced Camaro in the current lineup (even more than the ZL1).

I'm not a new camaro fan, and I laughed when I heard the price of this one.

Then I watched the nurunberg video of the z28, and after I picked my jaw off the keyboard I started pondering how in the world I could convince my wife to let me buy a 75k factory supercar. Considering the factory warranty this is crazy. Mark Stielow ran 3 secs slower than his red devil car in a zl1 camaro in the hotrod unlimited video. The telemetry data in that comparison showed the zl1 ran similar speeds in the turns and the red devil pulled away in the straights. The z28 is 3 secs faster on a given track (lots of variables comparing tracks) than the zl1. Does that mean for 75k you can buy a factory warrantied camaro that will out corner the famous red devil camaro? It sure looks like it. The only problem I see is that most people will buy a corvette at that price. Though with such low numbers being produced I believe they'll sell all they make.
