I certainly love my Michelins. In fact, I just bought some for my 'daily', that's got 286,000 miles on it.
Most folks would be buying cheap tires with miles like that. But hey... the difference between good tires and cheap tires is less that my insurance deductible if I run into someone due to my poor quality rubber. Plus, they're smooth and quiet.
Rock on man, great build, and congrats on the Michelins!
      Thank you sir!

Personally the level of your build is something that most of us strive for. Please keep the updates coming.
Thank you! I’m not sure what that level is but I think the Nut House is on that floor;-)

That's pretty cool. I have Pilot Sports on my daily driver Mazda, and will be replacing them with Michelin Pilot Sports. I've been very happy with them.
These were better than my Continental DWS's I had on my Genesis Coupe, which were my previous favorites.

What the guy at Michelin did't explain is that you have to put Michelin Livery in your beautiful car...lol

What they should have done, is whiteletter their logo. The original Bullitt Charger had whitewalls anyway, so the theme would work perfectly. :-)

I finally got around to that time consuming and tedious job of painting the grill. As suggested by others I use SEM trim black #39143 and titanium metallic #15253. The Testors 1/16 fine line tape works perfect!
      Thanks

I believe there are 60 grill bars. This is proof that the skills you learn as a child assembling model cars are useful later on. Once again, every thing is important.

Actually including the headlight doors and the plastic basils around the headlights it’s over 100 grill bars, ask me how I know;-) and yes I built my fair share of model cars!

Thanks for all the kind comments guys!

With a little massaging the new replacement grill trim fits very nice. Was able to clean, Paint and reuse all of the original trim clips. Note there are two different size heads as well as two different length trim fasteners.
      Thanks

Is that the last piece to be redone on the front end?

Amazing work on that grill. Very tedious work indeed. Can't wait to see what it looks like installed on the car.

Beautiful car Pat! Where do you live? We should take a picture of both our cars together when finished. Mine is the Hemihunter Mustang. Both Black.
