Melting staples into the plastic using a soldering iron to hold the cracked parts of the plastic together prior to epoxy. After melting the staple flush with the outer surface I would bend over the staple on the inside and again melt and bend it flush.

The grill repairs are done and it’s all sanded to 600 grit, time for paint!
      Thanks

Pat, great work as always. I don't want to hijack your thread, especially with something from my "not-quite-defunct but still-a-money-pit" project. But here's what I did with those tabs that needed repair:

You could add a washer on the backside for strength if you want to get crazy.

Sanding and filing down before painting.

After filing and drilling. Looks perfect unless you "borescope" that opening.

      Also for other pieces:

      Keep up the good work!

I finally received the backordered AAR radio so I could complete the dash. Radio is Bluetooth audio as well as hands-free phone, not sure how well it works but it looks and fits great!
      Thanks

I always liked the charger dashes. Easy to look at and smile. I've been using similar internals to your new radio. All the functions work as they should. The sound quality wasn't as good as real high end equipment but I didn't have the head units connected to a good amp and good speakers so it wasn't a fair test. My wife has been test driving new cars. I notice that some have the engraving in the door sill plate illuminated. Would that be something that you might consider on your car?

The hands free phone works great and I hope the stereo sound/works as good. Sorry no engraved sill plates but maybe some under door logo led lights???
      Thanks
