I bought some LEDs from WATSON STREET WORKS and they did not clear the hide away head light motors on my 69. (the aftermarket set up) They look the same as the ones from ORICLE Name: 2015-04-08 09.45.20.jpg

Very nice, do you have a link to where you purchased from?

They look like the Trucklites, due to the horizontal split. But I know Anzo had a similar style at SEMA last year, but I can't seem to find anything on their website yet.

They draw 1.8A/3.6A for regular and high beam, respectively. No relays are needed.

    Hi Dale,

Can you pleas provide more information on the nature of the mods required to the buckets? I'd like to go this route with an aftermarket (Classic Industries) RS front end kit and would like to better understand the requirements prior to dropping a g note on the parts only to find out it's too difficult for a DIYer.

    Thanks!

I have the 5 3/4 headlights on my 69 Chevelle. The install didnt require any modification to my headlight buckets. I wired them up in the garage and they have been working perfectly ever since. I've had them for 2yrs now. I also customized my set just a bit...Here you can see the four light set on my Chevelle, and the 2 light set on my buddys Monte Carlo.

Interesting that they offer multi color options. That's cool. Not sure I like the spread on the halo though. Mine are much tighter and a lot more, but I can't change the color on a whim.

I guess it depends on the look you want right? :-)

These are the headlights I'm installing in my 66 Mustang. They are made by JW speaker. All the reviews are very good. The appear to be well made. I should have them installed in the next month or so once the car is painted.

Where is the best deal to buy these?
Even with all of the trucklite stuff we buy at work these things are still stupid expensive.

I think Sylvania makes a split bulb now. The ZEVO sealed beam led. They're also around $200 ea. though.

Lol, I thought it was just my town of Gilbert Arizona wasting money on buying Trucklites for their garbage trucks. Saw that a couple years ago and thought "WTF?!?!" The garbage trucks have nicer headlights than my old cars!!

I just installed a set of JW Speaker 8700 Evo IIs with a harness from CJ Pony Parts that converts the wiring to relays. So far I love the lights, they put out a nice, white light with an even spread. The brights work very well, too. I was worried about discoloration or a weird beam pattern as I saw in some pics, but because of the long hood of my car and the lower mounting (compared to Jeeps who usually run them), I saw no such things unless I'm close to a wall or another car. Here are some pics:

No mods needed at all, they plugged right in and fit within the stock buckets.
