      Recommend a wideband

I'm getting really close to getting my carbed ls1 project car rolling and I'm getting a friend to help tune the carb. I want to get a wideband to get it dialed in the best we can, but I'm not sure on what to buy. Summit has an innovate lc1 and aem, the innovate for about $200 and the aem for about $175. So what do you guys recommend?

I have had good luck with the AEM. PLX is a good brand as well.

We use the Innovate LM2, is that the type of wideband you're looking for? Or just a sensor?

With a carb he needs the sensor and the gauge.

I like the new MTX-L All-In-One package. Has everything you need - just supply power.

I have the Innovate LM2 handheld. After tuning I can remove it and use it on a different vehicle.

I hope to start tuning my carb with that setup and and LC-2 when I get the scratch to buy them. A full time wideband gauge is nice but not truly needed. The other inputs along with bluetooth is a pretty nice setup.

I think a full time WB02 on a carb is a good idea. But this is my shortcomings on carbs speaking.

I have had good luck with Daytona Sensors setup. They have a nice dual setup with digital readout and recording.

My Innovate seemed okay for awhile, but now it lost its calibration and needs to be reset or something, just flashes some random number. I'm just too lazy to look up how to do it again!

This is on a part time drag car, not sure if running it with open collectors, and the O2 6" forward screwed anything up (aside from the reading, which I know would be inaccurate with no exhaust).

I've had good luck with the AEM, and the PLX units. Also easier on the wallet than some of the others.

Holley makes an excellent sideband as well.

From what I have seen and heard from theturboforums.com the Innovate is much better than AEM.
AEM, from my experience helping some people tuning , has pretty much the worst customer service I ever experienced. Some have luck with them, I also like the Innovate as its easily incorporated into Megasquirt.

^ I've got two AEM's and they've been great for me. Cheap(er) and they do what they need to do.
