Hey brother! I have to figure out how to post some pics, but I've got a 56 as well with a coyote and 4R70W. How far along are you? What will you do about power steering? Trans controller? Great to see you share my pain!

Good to know Im not the only one!
Answering some of your questions:
-How far along? I will say that 4-6 months to finish the truck
-Power steering? I plan to use a 03 Cobra
-Trans controller? Modified OEM PCM from a 12 mustang

I want to finish the body and Frame along with mounting the engine and tranny.
Then in a month or so take it to CPR shop in San Diego to install the turbo, fuel system, custom exhaust and tune the PCM.

Power steering will be the ford racing bracket in place of the A/C compressor with the cobra pump? What is your steering rack?
I used a simple shift trans controller. Seems easy but is not on the road yet.
I recessed my firewall 2" to drop the sump portion of the oil pan by as much as possible.
My trans was built by a friend of mine. He also altered the tail stock so I can keep my speedo!

To be honest all of the custom mods: steering, A/C, exhaust will be made by the shop.
The owner is a master welder and really knows about restoring classic Cars, he use to work for a shop that build classic american muscle cars.

He specializes in late Model mustangs, last year I went to his shop with a lot of questions regarding my project. He told me that I have nothing to worry he will find a way to install the components or fabricate the parts needed.

Very cool. The Coyote is just one cool motor. Had a Boss from Ford for 10 days cruising CA. What a great ride. Guess you saw our F100 project here in the forum. We'll have 19x12 in the rear.

Well, since everything seems to be custom is taking more time. Took this photo today choosing the location of the rear lights...

I put mine up high with custom brackets.. The larger portion of the lamp is the tail light and the smaller portion is the brake light. I then added the LED's in the bed roll hooked up to my brake lights for safety. My truck sits pretty low though. If it was not this low I would have the lights mounted lower.

At last!! Pics of your truck lol.
The full body seems to be pretty solid, I had problems with the bed sides and one running board.
I would like to see your lights at night should look nice.
Please post more pics of your details. Are you going to relocate the gas cap?

I have a couple on my original post 56'F100. I'll see if I can dig up some more to post. My gas cap will be center of the bed. I welded the hole on the side of the body shut. I am looking at a Crafty-B gas cap. Google that guy, pretty cool stuff.
