Was really hoping to make it this year, but it will take a miracle to have the car done in time.

Too far north for us. Too bad because the car would enjoy the exercise!

I'm going to hit the Norwalk, OH stop. My schedule is too tight to do any more than that.

I'll be going at least through Norwalk. I'll drive "Shirley" my 73 Camaro Z28. I'm from Charlotte NC area so that's handy for this year's start.

Hope to see you soon buddy!

We gave up on that idea of them coming west years ago!! Most of the readership is back east and it's TOO many miles between stops out west. Personally, I think distance and the heat scares the **** out of most of them. You would be amazed how many are overheating when it's only 80-90 degrees out.

Wow, if I had time, money and car ready it would be nearly 2500 mile round trip, almost $400 in fuel not allowing for hotels, souvenirs, food and snacks and sundry chemicals/parts.
YEEEESH, Thanks Obama and libs for jacking up economy. I remember me and buddy hitting three stops on '97 Power Tour, we both started on minimum cash and made to St Louis, Springfield Ill and the next stop, forget name.
I took like $100, my buddy had $150 and credit card which got us room in Ill. Had a blast and only break down was bad dimmer switch.

What a day at Norwalk yesterday! Met a bunch of great people, including Rod at the ridetech booth, lined my 'Bird up next to my Grandfather and ran down the strip and got a POUND of ice cream for a buck! It would have been a perfect day had my shifter linkage not come apart 50 miles from home!

Can't wait to Long Haul next year!

I wish I could do the last leg of the tour but can't. I do plan on driving down to Bettendorf in the evening and hopefully seeing some cool rides. I can't even bring the camaro because I've got a family of 5 and only 4 belts as of now. So I figured i'd bring the next best thing so I can include the kids and wife. Watch out! I figure its better to drive this and bring the kids then not come out at all. Drive safe and look for the guy wearing the AMSOIL shirt pushing a stroller!
