      LS1 Engine builders

I'm looking to buy a LS1 Stroker shortblock with in the next couple of weeks.

I have narrowed it down to these companies.

      Combination Motorsports
      Late Model Engines
      Horsepower Engineering

Anyone have any experience with these companies?

Any other companies I should check out?

LME is building my stroker 408ci setup right now, it should put out about 900-1000 rwhp with the twin-turbo setup. I haven't heard bad things about any of those three shops, I chose LME because the guy that owns it has already built three of my previous motors for different cars and they made great power.

I'm collaborating with Wegner Automotive on a 427 LS2. Normally aspirated, should be over 600 hp. Wegner is working with Lunati on some new cam profiles, and have their own in-house head porting setup.

Wegner is a NASCAR engine supplier and works with race teams all over the country.

Wegner is also the company that developed the new GMPP carburetor intake manifold for the LS1.
