      TCI Engineering's '72 C10 R&D Project

We picked up this '72 last summer but it wasn't getting much attention due to the Mustang needing to be finished before SEMA. So now that SEMA is over it is finally time to get everyone involved with this project. The plan is to build a budget oriented street/track vehicle that will be both competitive and comfortable and yet still retain the main qualities of a Truck. This thing will more than likely end up towing the Camaro to events. This will also be our new product development and testbed vehicle for all future parts. Here is what we started with:

Time to start blasting it apart.

      Shortening the bed/frame

We've been playing with a few different rear suspension set-ups trying to find the least compromising. I think the guys have come up with something that fits perfectly but I can't post pics of what they're up to yet.

The front is going to be interesting as well. It will be fun to try out some of these longer ridetech shocks on this application.

I believe we're going to be playing musical engines very soon. I've been looking for a takeout LSx for the Camaro. That way we can put the Camaro engine in the C10.

Yep! The front mount is.......well........interesting. We're not using our traditional decoupled telescoping mount we have now on the Mustang/Camaro/Nova.

I've already said too much. LOL

Many of the development pieces have been drawn and sent out to get first articles cut/bent. The R&D team was working on the fixture for the front control arms last week.

Looks very interesting, looks like that rear set up could cross over to some other makes of truck if you were doing an odd ball.

Looks like a CPP Mod Spindle in the pic in post #10?? Good to see you're using a C10 spindle and not a Mustang II.
