Mary Pozzi Gran Turismo 6 teaser pics

It looks like it may be time for me to break down and get a game console and a steering wheel.

Taken from the Gran Turismo web site

      Pozzi MotorSports Camaro RS

In fall 2011, the final selection round of the 9th Gran Turismo Awards was held in line with the SEMA show, the largest custom car festival in the United States. Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi selected Mary Pozzi’s 1973 Custom Chevrolet Camaro for the 'Best in Show' award, marking the first time that the award has gone to a female owner.

Mary’s Camaro RS is a car she has continued to work on with her husband David since she acquired it in 2002. Though the look of the good old days have been retained in this 2nd generation Camaro, a large number of parts have been discreetly replaced with carbon, including the RS nose, engine hood, inner fender panels, boot, and rear spoiler, reducing the overall weight by roughly 100 kg.

The car is powered by Chevrolet’s LS2, the traditional 6 L small block V8 tuned to produce 611.4 BHP. To receive the increased power, the gearbox has been changed to a 6-speed T56 magnum and the rear axle has been reinforced. Suspension work includes not only coilovers, but modified arms as well, and the car has been given large-diameter, four-wheel disc brakes for stopping power. Of course the interior also sports a roll cage, two bucket seats and a full harness belt.

Mary is a racer who has continued to customize and perfect her car for her racing activities. Since 2005 she has been active in autocross racing in this very car, and the fact that this is an actively competing racing car today was one of the deciding factors in its choice for the award.

HA! Mark Stielow gets the first right of "Munch Mary's Camaro" ... <if he can catch me>. And so much has changed on the car since it was selected. Lingenfelter LS7, Centerforce DYAD clutch, Art Morrison front clip and soon to be installed rear IRS, Forgeline wheels ... lots of new goodness.

      Play on ...

Is the game now rated "MA" due to the colorful language that most certainly has to be part of the "realism" of driving this car.......

There will probably be a secret code that unlocks that language and is good for improved times!

In all seriousness - this is pretty awesome!

You have to put in the bumper sticker code and then you will get extra grip in the corners.

In the interior view they made the mirror so large you can't see to take right corners. There is a tiny gap between the bottom of the mirror and the right fender. It looks like it has a larger mirror installed but then I guess the seat is so close it just takes up to much of the view.

It’s still fun to drive from the bumper and or roof cam. I'm waiting for my new racing rig stuff before I can drive it without abs. The controller buttons are too much of an on/off switch to moderate it. Very fun car and it's awesome to get to play it.

Haven't a clue about the lap time but the position of the rear view mirror is really annoying ... and NOT in the same position when I'm driving it. Not sure what got wrong in the digitizing.

Found one of a really cool burnout and another where it's drifting. HA ...
