      Ridgid rack

So what type of ridgid racks are everyone using. I saw the post thread about the rotissorie, and pretty much decided that it would be awesome to have both. Of course I'll be making my own, just looking for a little insight.

mine is 5'x10', i fabbed it up on a frame rack... so i know its a level and true "surface". the "top" is basically just a frame work so i can get "in" "through" "under" etc to whatever i am workin on. its mounted on "legs" with casters... and the top surface sits about 2' off the ground. everything is made from 3x4, 2x4, 2x2 .250wall..... its heavy....really heavy... but i havent had a problem with it flexing.

i mainly use it for chassis fab work... my tube chassis race rod was built entirely on it. it works great as a rigid structure for tackin/clamping parts to and since it rolls... it can easily be moved when paying jobs take priority of shop space.

I made this stand out of 2" 14ga. steel with 6" casters for $75. The stand attaches to the rear lower control arm brackets and the k-member mount in the front.
