Spork82, I'm an old guy who has done many projects. Today, the rear end was finished as far as I can until the tracloc parts arrive. I finished welding most of the engine mount. I have a few days of vacation so tomorrow I will finish the trans mount and mount the fuel tank. I can't upload pics today for some reason. I'll update as soon as I can.

Lots of fun today. Trans mount done. Double k-member in. Cab positioned with rear mounts attached and ready to fab front mounts. One shot is the opening for the steering shaft.

I'm using the mustang tank and pump. I haven't got the straps on or filler neck modified yet. I have 3" hanging under the rear crossmember.

For those of us that are not Autocad or Pro-E users, after installing everything today, I realized I wouldn't have enough driveshaft clearance if the suspension bottomed out. The new part will need to be capped top and bottom.

looks great! the farther I get in to mine, the more I wish I had just started with a custom frame instead of working around the S10 chassis.

You are an artist! Budget builds to me are so much more interesting than people throwing six figures into their cars. Keep up the good work!

I finished the fuel tank straps today. I used the original Mustang straps. I fabbed up two parts per side to bolt the straps on. I used the rubber protector on the bottom. It's about to return to winter tomorrow so I'm done for a while.

craigs73, yes, I used the part that I removed from the Mustang engine cradle.
Lackluster update. the trac-loc kit arrived today and I finished the rear end this evening. It's ready for paint and the brakes to be installed. One item on the list is finished.

It was warm enough this morning that I turned on the heater in the garage and got a few things done. The pics are of the running board supports mounted but not blasted. The rear is finished and full of oil. It will get painted the same color as the frame. The 90 degree adapter necessary to hook up an oil filter. We have a cold wave upon us so I'm done for awhile again.

I ordered a driveshaft from Shaftmasters based upon good reviews I read. It arrived in short order. I have removed it from the shipping tube and glanced at it. It has nice welds and it came painted black. it'll be a while before I can put the rear back in and make sure everything is as it should be. It may be warm enough this weekend that I can finish welding the chassis. There's not much left on it. C notches over the rear and installing some plates on open areas that are notched out for various items, some welding underneath. It's going to have to warm up before I can paint it.

Short of bed mounts, the welding on the chassis is completed. C notches, plating, underneath welding. Ready to move on to the next list.

In keeping with the Bullitt theme, I needed gray spoke wheels. I've been looking for months. The wheel god finally smiled on me. These are late model Mustang, 17x8.

Minor update. It has warned up enough that I worked in the shop today. The frame for the bed has been welded up. A few weeks ago I cut all the metal and put it in the vat.

This next item is something I needed many projects ago but didn't take the time to do it. I've looked over some threads before I did this. This is a test to see if the riser is tall enough. I'm going to make some adjustable clamps to go with this. I'll spend way too much time added extras but this is way better than what I've been doing.

Put the cab back on to check how somethings were going to fit. Then I cut bed mounts and welded them on. Then took everything back apart so my wife's car can go back in. Front bed frame mounts will have 2 bolts, rear will have 1. One shot shows the fuel line clearance under the box frame. The bed mounts are all notched for the box frame to sit on them.
