That is a very awesome hood.

      Unfortunately I am a cheap-ass.

Interested in weight deltas between the 3 options of hoods and a stock steel hood...also between the inner fenders and stock steel inners.

I will try to get out soon and weigh my extra stock hood. It is heavy I can tell you that.

      Weights...
      Stock hood 69#
      Aftermarket cowl 1 68#
      Aftermarket cowl 2 79#
Carbon Hood with Ram Air 26#
Hood minus Ram Air is probably 2-3 #s lighter.

Here is the picture of the bottom. They use factory hinge and latch mounts. We are still getting a lot of interest for the 69-72 hoods just a matter of some people giving the final ok and we will pull the trigger.

Was just wondering if you were ever going to still build the 69-72 hood? Was also interested in the inner fenders to accommodate the wider wheels.

How do these hold up to the sun? I have read up some on carbon fiber and read some will fade badly in the sun... not sure if it the quality of products used or ? but just thought you might have some insight.

I am very interested in a non-ram air. What happens if I need to cut it? I have a radial entry blower on the LSX motor I run. I also use Porter built hood hinges... any way to do a provision for those?

This is the Porterbuilt hinge set up. It has a plate that gets welded to the hood:

I can probably get the hood without the 2 halves bonded. Then you could put inserts in.

I know this is a very old thread but was this hood ever produced? Is it still?

I have a beautiful 68 C10. Love the hood. I live in the Carolinas. How do I get one?
