Big Block Chevy Parts for Sale

      Hey everyone,

My project has carried on for years! Within the time of this Pro-Touring transformation, I have changed jobs, got transferred twice, the Oil & Gas business has been up and down, went through two children's weddings, and three grandchildren born. On top of all this, when a project drags on for years, there is always something better that comes out and you experience "scope creep" with your project... Well, I have made every adjustment to my project except the biggest one... Now, the time has come to make that happen. After I made the big jump from an automatic transmission to a T56 Magnum 6-speed, the one thing that I have been longing for was an LS/LT motor. I started endurance racing and I realized the high, sustained rpm's experienced on long sweeping curves, etc. My all-aluminum 632ci BBC is only 440-450 pounds so, it isn't a weight/balance concern. It's the long stroke big block that isn't ideal for high, sustained rpm's. Therefore, I am biting the bullet and testing the waters to see if there is any interest in my drivetrain setup. Hopefully, there's a Pro-street, cruizer ride out there that my setup would be perfect for. I really wish I had a '50s pickup project or a '64-'72 Chevelle project to drop it in. If I could afford to do it, I would stick it in the corner of my garage until I had the opportunity to use this setup on something like that without walking away from a LOT of expense in putting this together. But, after this Bug project, I have a number of other car projects in mind and one of those mentioned aren't on that list.

Practically, EVERYTHING is brand new. The only used parts are the intake manifold/injectors, ECU, and transmission. Everything else has just been sitting in the project since it was purchased. I am not selling my KRC steering pump that is pictured. Also, the MSD 7 box shown in the picture has already been sold. If someone wants to buy the entire package, I have a number of big block Chevy parts that I will throw in. I will give you anything associated with a big block that I have. As you can see, I have both a Dominator carb and Victor intake as well as the fuel injection setup. You can go one way or the other or just buy everything and have choices! If you buy the paddle shifter setup, I will throw in the MOMO steering wheel!

Therefore, here's what I have to offer up:

There is way more detail I can give you. Hopefully, there's some interest. I will piece things out or sell all together at a larger discount. Just ask away!
I live in Austin, Texas. We can talk about transporting when I have someone with interest.

I'm pretty interested in the GVOD if we can figure out what it would take to work behind a Muncie

I love my LS motor, but I love the idea of an All Aluminum BBC in my Camaro. I'd offer up a trade, but my engine is nowhere even close to the same value as your engine. GLWS and I'll keep dreaming of this motor.

      Hey Kevin,

I know exactly what you mean about the way things are right now... I'm in the Oil & Gas business! We need to survive now to thrive later! I've been through a number of cyclical ups and downs with the oilfield over the last 37 years but never has it been as bad as it is now... I am too close to retirement to be looking for a job! Let's hope it never gets to that.

      Take care!

Thanks for checking in. Looks like the conversion from the Turbo 400 to a Muncie is cost prohibitive. About the same as a new unit.

      Take care.

Yeah, if I was just building a street fighter vehicle that made it's way to the drag strip, this setup would be perfect. Unfortunately, I have HPDE plans for the car. And, hopefully, the Ultimate Street Car Challenge. I just don't think it would live a long life in that situation. When I received the short block, I attached an engine stand apparatus on the back of it and me and another guy picked it up by hand and stabbed it into the engine stand. It is amazingly light. The entire engine weighs 450-460 pounds!

The type LS/LT setup I'm looking at is pretty special and high horsepower. I'm trying to raise enough money to fund a big chunk of it.

      Hey Wolf,

I am actually picking the car up on Friday and bringing it home. I will be able to get measurements for you then.

      Thanks,

      Hey Wolf,

I did get the car to my house. I measured the intake. From the bottom of the lifter valley cover to the top of the box it is 9-1/4", front and back.

Also, to be clear, this intake fits the Big Block Chevy 10.2" tall deck engine.
