64 Chevelle SS LS3 swap Accuair E level
First time post....
I have been a lurker here on this site for a while now just waiting till the day I had something worth posting. I think now is a good time
I spent a while looking for something to buy that was either close to finished or already done but what I was looking for seemed to be in short supply in the condition I wanted. I spent a couple weeks going back and fourth looking at 64 to 65 Chevelles on just about every site I could find and I found myself pretty much looking at one in particular. After going back and fourth with the broker that had the car advertised I finally pulled the trigger and bought this freshly restored 64 SS.
Now I have had the car for a few months and have already dug deep into making it the car I wanted. First thing we did was to add the accuair E level kit which I couldn't be happier with! it gives the car a mean stance when parked and adds a nice ride for cruising.

After driving the car for a couple months it was pretty clear that I was going to have to swap the engine and trans out and go with something more modern and with better drivability. I knew a LS swap was right for the car and with all of these companies making swap parts it was a easy call to make.
I made a call to my sale rep for LKQ dismantlers and was able to land this very fresh and crazy low mileage ls3 out of a 15 ss Camaro with the Tremec 6060 6 speed trans.
After breaking the engine down to the basics I installed the GM 525hp camshaft.
Most of the bolt on parts I used for this swap came from MR muscle rods and I cant say enough good things about them! Great company and killer customer service.
And thanks to Zach at drive junky for this awesome drive kit!!
