      Older generation Blazer suspension question

I have an opportunity to buy a 1970 Blazer 2wd. I'd like to set it up as a great cruiser and the occasional autocross at a goodguys event for example. My question is does anyone know if the 67-72 suspension systems from companies like ridetech or Hotchkis bolt on? I'm assuming the front might but I might have issues with the rear end. Any help would be appreciated as I know there are some knowledgeable people on this forum.

      Thanks

Yes they make bolt in kits you could also check out Porterbuilt's touring setup with coil overs also No limit engineering has some nice suspension as well.

Yes, it's all bolt in. Blazers use the same suspension components as the pickups. If you need more answers, check out www.67-72chevytrucks.com/forum

It probably wouldn't hurt to give Hotchkis a call, though. The extra weight on the rear may upset the balance of spring and shock rates. The Porterbuilt stuff is very nice, as mentioned.

If your blazer has the trailing arm suspension in the rear which it should being 2WD you can use the Hotchkis TVS or ridetech with no issues. If you have a leaf spring rear which would be rare on a 2wd blazer you can still do either with a few minor mods. We have done several of these so If you have any questions feel free to give me a call or drop me an email.

Porterbuilt might be the way to go since they're not to far away from where I live but I'll look into all of them. Thanks for the help guys

Here's a link to the new ridetech C10 kit, which is available with coilovers or shockwaves.

Just a heads up, Porterbuilt, NoLimit and Hotchkis have addressed the issue of centering the wheels on these trucks. The ridetech control arms are a great setup, but leave the wheels in the same position. To some, that's a non-issue, but to others(like me) it is.

What is your budget? How low do you want it? Many options out there some are just way better then others. ridetech and No-Limits are both bolt on and great options. If you want to autocross and run it low with wide tires I can get you all the info you need for a parts list.

      Older generation Blazer suspension question

Unfortunately the 70 Blazer was sold before I was able to buy it. Those 2wd blazers are rare and it went fast :(

      I'm pretty bummed about it
