I regret that I could not make it either. Wish you guys luck it's raining today and showing a 70% chance tomorrow. Sunday is suppose to be Sunny. I live about 3 hours north of the event hope there will be a return to the area in the future given the poor response and now weather. We hosted our first super bowl last year and everyone knows how that went. They say we may get a chance again someday. Hope it clears for you guys & gals and a big Texas welcome to the Lone Star state.

I have a few questions for whom ever knows. ---What is the spectator fee for Saturday? How many participants will be running on sat? Will they lets us run in the rain/wet?

For all of those making the trip, here is a well-kept secret, a local bank built a replica of the Alamo
(you cannot park or take pictures of your car in front of the Alamo)
But you can take a pic here without much trouble.
(I am not affiliated with the bank or anything like that, just sharing a nice photo location with other enthusiasts)

It is located in San Antonio, off Interstate I-10, just a mile or 2 inside of Loop 410 (smack in the north-central part of San Antonio)
I will attach the Google map link in a few minutes.

Yes, they were on the track all day. The weather did not cooperate, with a light to medium mist all day. But that just made for some fun spins from what I could see.

i never saw it w/ the hood up but it had a killer sound to it. wasn't quite SBF, definately wasn't LS based. had the wrong valvetrain noise to be a mod motor, etc.

I don't know the Ford terminology, but it was (I believe) a new Boss 302 motor. That's what the intake said at least, and it had some Roush Racing components on it (fuel rails, thermostat housing that I noticed). It was a wicked sounding motor, I personally think it was the best sounding car I heard all day going down the straight at speed.

New boss 302 as in coyote motor? That would make sense.

You guys out there again today? Thinking about stopping by and watching for a while before we head back home.
