Little weekend work. Dial indication on the new QuickTime bell on the LS7.
Widest range was 0 -.008. so I'm. Within spec on run-out at just .004.
Later this week I'll set pedal for the hydraulic throw out bearing and mock up my LS7 and T56 magnum in my freshly powder coated black Speedtech sub frame.Attachment 178091Attachment 178092Attachment 178093
Looking good sir! Keep up the good work.
Nice job Jason !
Got my freshly powdered subframe Al together except my ATS spindles as they were at home and my sub was at my shop in town!

Ok LS7 engine. Had this fidanza aluminum flywheel and LS9 clutch on when I bought it. Found out my tremec magnum along with quick time bell doesn't fit. Not enough room for the Tilton TOB. Measurements show exactly .500 not enough room. Turns out a McLeod clutch would so fine but I want to be able to go with the LS9 clutch. So I'm having a spacer machined .625 thick to go between the bell and the magnum. Besides being able to use the LS9 dual disc clutch I'll also be able to use the Roller Pilot bearing that runs the. Outer edge of the crank rather than the needle pilot bearing deep in the crank.
They make 1/4 and 3/8 spacers but I don't want to sstack them so a machined one at .625 is just what the doctor ordered.
.500 to get to fit and .125 for the TOB airgap. Attachment 178442Attachment 178443
So I got on the LS7 wet conversion today. Swapped oil pump, shimmed it to tolerance. Swapped front cover. Added a Katech C5r timing chain and a Mast Motorsports stroker oil pan kit. Fit is excellent on the pan.
Clears the speedtech pro touring subframe with rack and pinion on the Rear
Got the LS7 on the subframe. Just waiting on my machinist buddy to make my trans to bell spacer and I can install the T56.
After that I'm going to wire it and start it for the first time in the subframe since I'm going crazy waiting for the car to be painted and get off the rotisserie.Attachment 178845Attachment 178846Attachment 178847Attachment 178848Attachment 178849
