You could always paint the vents to body color. This would allow you to put whatever striping scheme you want on there without worrying about "too much."

I can’t wait to see this car finished!!! Looks like an amazing build so far.
BIG thanks going out to John, who suggested on using 15-19 mustang side mirrors. I knew of them and always thought they’d be a great fit but I never saw them with integrated turn signals. Well John proved me wrong. Apparently, the mustangs did come with integrated turn signal only on well optioned vehicles. Anyway I found a set and really challenged my fab skills. The end result I’m really proud of though, the way I fabed the 2 mounting plates it looks completely oem. The contour of the Camaro door panel is an ideal match to the mustangs mirror.Attachment 194681Attachment 194682
It looks good!!
Wow, they look great and really fit the look of the car. Nice choice!
Can I ask where you found your Heat exchanger pump bracket. Been looking all over and I cant find the bracket

I can’t seem to find a separate part number just for the pump bracket. It seems like the bracket is sold with the pump. But it is referenced as part #8 according to the diagram. You can try call your local Chevy dealer I think they can give you a part number just for the bracket.

Or what I did is just bought the whole intercooler assembly including the hoses, pump, bracket, clips etc. I was able to use everything in my build.

Or if you already have an intercooler pump, you can just buy a new one by part number 22901367. Then you can sell either the pump you already have or the new pump but you’ll have the bracket!
My car was picked up a couple weeks ago and what was supposed to be just paint and body has turned into rust and panel repair. I bought the body from a forum member who said that a reputable highly recommended shop did the panel replacements. He also said there was no filler. Well the guy who is doing the work for me called the shops work as “backyard hackery”.
Every seam was not fully welded and was not metal worked. Just filled. The biggest reason why I went with this paint/body guys is because he’s the only person/shop who said he wants to strip the car to bare metal since he didn’t do the panel replacement. He’s also the only person who noticed pin holes in the welds and said that has to be welded up and not just filled in.
Anyway he started to strip the roof and there was rust under the epoxy primer so off went the roof skin to reveal more rust. Luckily it’s only surface. He also didn’t like the fiberglass hood and recommended I replace it with a steel one as fiberglass warps from heat/sun.
Then there’s the doors which admittedly I messed up. Apparently when I was installing the Tesla door handles I warped the crap out of the doors so he found me 2 genuine Camaro doors for not much more than reproduction doors (which is what mine were).
So I have a roof skin on order as well as a 2” cowl induction hood.
Here’s some pics of the hackery

Oh man, not the update we were looking for. That sucks. I get why you chose this guy over the others. He wants it down to bare metal so he can see what he's working with. He probably doesn't want his name on it if down the road something were to come up.
I've heard this story all too much, thinking you're starting with a solid car only to find out that's not the case once you tear in to it. Sorry it's happened to you.
Short term pain but in the long run you'll have peace of mind knowing that there are probably no cracks in the paint surfacing up later on. When I had my car painted about 10 years ago I had it stripped so as to not have a reaction from old paint/ primers and new paint. To this day paint looks great.
Sounds like this body guy is the kind of person you want working on your car.

I have no regrets picking my body guy, I do have regrets buying the car for the price I paid though. I know he’s doing the right thing. He’s knows his name will be on this and that’s how he does every car. It’s why I chose him. Now I’m just along for the ride.
Car is still in paint, hoping to be out before end of summer? I’m having a dilemma, I bought these cool window switches and was planning to use them in the area pictured but to me it’s kinda looking weird because of the slope down angle. I could powder coat them in a satin black to kinda hide/blend them in more but idk. What do you guys think? Weird angle? Do they look out of place?
I was hoping I could use the BMW window switches and mount them in the door panel like in a stock BMW but I need reverse polarity switches for the windows. Someone suggested charger switches as they are 6 pin so they might be reversed polarity but need to figure out first if my current switches are ok or not.

I think they look good. The silver matches the silver of the vents. The slope to me is fine. I would make a trim ring for them in black and that way they would have the same colors as the vents
You need reverse polarity switches only if sending power through the switch. You can use relays, triggered by ground through the switch. This allows you to use any switch you want.
I have the Ron Francis black box which is essentially a 10 relay box. How would I make any switch work with that box?
Body work is wrapping up. Hopefully will have color on next week. The Tesla door handles didn’t work out because they didn’t have enough throw in them to consistently unlatch the door so I went with the Kindig door handles for the same look.Attachment 207885Attachment 207885Attachment 207886Attachment 207884
Looks great man!
