It’s actually very comfortable working on it 5 feet up in the air, but on its side would be a lot easier.
Thanks

I finished up the tail pipes, just need to cut the slash tips off to install the rectangular polish stainless exhaust tips. Then I started working on the cut outs. Fortunately one of our belt sanders is the same dimensions as the exhaust!
Thanks

It looks really good Pat, I guess you fixed that 64th you were off by. I can't wait to hear those cutouts!
Which brand name cut-outs are you running Pat? I keep thinking I want to put a set on my car (Pypes?) but have always been afraid they'd leak and ping like... well an exhuast leak.
I went with Granatelli Motor Sports cutout For a few reasons, 1 they’re very low profile. 2 they have a very nice cast S/S turn down tip. 3 they have a one touch open or closed switch relay.
I had a set of QTP cutout on another car with no problems I hope these give me the same results.
Thanks
Pat
Cutouts and S/S tips are fitted! Time to tig weld all the seams and have the exhaust ceramic coated to match the headers.
Thanks

Nice job finishing up Pat! Are you doing the finish welding on the joints or do you have someone doing it?
[QUOTE=keepat;1352738 Man must know his limitations;-)
Thanks
Pat[/QUOTE]
LOL and you finally found one?
All welded up and I will be delivering it to JetHot Saturday for a polished ceramic coating. All of the amateur welds that you can’t see are mine and all of the visible welds are by a good friend and expert welder. A man’s got to know his limitations;-)
Thanks

It came out great, I can't wait to see it coated.
Are you having coated on the inside also?
Seems a shame to cover all those beautiful welds!
Pat, I don't know if you saw this or not but I watched an episode of the engine performance expo in which John Kasse was showing the rust that forms on the inside of a set of mild steel headers. That rust is sucked back into the engine some from reversion. Having coated pipes certainly will help reduce that problem.
Just one fender on and it’s starting to look like it’s ready for the road
Thanks

It's getting exciting now! It looks sweet together. Those two warm days must have been tough with the car this close!! I'll be watching for the first drive video.
Soooo.... we'll have a wicked burnout video here soon?
Pat, your attention to detail has paid off. This car is perfection!
